About Me

I have been teaching private music lessons and freelance performing for more than 25 years. I still cant believe how much I enjoy enriching students lives through music after all of these years. I have taught children as young as 4 and adults in their mid 80’s. I have had had many students start in elementary school and continue with me until they go away to college. I have even had students that went on to become music teachers themselves.

These days I enjoy teaching music to my son. He is very talented and plays saxophone, clarinet and drums proficiently. You can see some of his performances on my blog/news page.

Music

Many of my students have different goals. Do you want to play popular music? Improve your seating position in the band? Learn Music Theory? Write your own Music?

Fun

I think lessons should be fun (or at least as fun as they can be). I am a very creative person and individualize instruction to help my students maximize their potential.

Education

I have a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Music, and am certified to teach in PA schools. I also have an associates degree in early childhood education.

Rates

My rates are very competitive. First lesson is always free and a free lesson is provided for all referrals. Lessons can be scheduled for 30, 45, and 60 minutes.
